Personally, I feel like I was very much affected by these anime due to the strong emotions and importance it puts on family. It's definitely a slog to get through, and starts rather slow, but I really love the main character and the girls, as well as his goofy best friend.

It's also very sad, and I cried many times before finishing the anime.

I love many other anime, but there's so many to list and I don't remember all of them because I watched most of them a long time ago.

These include Steins;Gate and Higurashi, as mentioned above, as well as Code Geass.

A lot of the anime in this thread are very good as well.

Full Metal Panic! I rewatch this series once a year. Luckily they continued it with another season with one more on the way. It's created by the same guy who brought us Gundam. It's his first attempt and a successful one I might add; at a romantic comedy mixed with mecha and action. It focuses more on everyday school life slowly shifting into the plot and action. Toradora may have been my first Romance Comedy anime that I can remember seeing.

Just hoping that the show visuals still hold up. I've gotten pretty spoiled by the modern day vibrant colors in Anime.

I would totally vouch for Inital D when it comes to anime involving racing. Sure, it's one of the most recommended anime when it comes to racing, but it's recommended for a reason, and that reason being that it's well-made and provides some insight in drifting, tuning and racing in general. Totally worth a watch. There are 6 seasons overall.

I'm one of those who really likes the animes with 300+ episodes :3 As of lately my interest has fallen on One Piece because of the in depth character development throughout the series and the intense fighting scenes. I'd really suggest checking this one out if you have a lot of time on your hands and like animes with an adventurous theme.

I fall into that category where I just have too many favorites and cannot pick one that I love over the rest so I will give out one of my favorites as a suggestion.

I suggest checking out Darker than Black. If you are into Action shows with characters wielding special powers, you will really get into this one. It is a shame that I can only suggest the first season as the 2nd season went in a completely different direction and in my opinion destroyed an amazing main character. Hei, the main male lead, is both cool headed and a complete bad ass making him one of my favorite male leads of all time.
